FW: OSU COVID Survey - For Action

Dear Academic Leaders,
The Women’s Place (TWP)<https://womensplace.osu.edu/> is Ohio State’s policy office for promoting women’s advancement and gender equity. We are conducting a survey of Ohio State staff, faculty, and graduate students to understand people’s experiences and concerns during the COVID-19 remote work period. I am writing to request your assistance in recruiting respondents of all genders for the survey. When analyzed, the study results may benefit units like yours by indicating faculty members’ concerns about their teaching and research, how caregiving is impacting employees’ work, and the kinds of support that people desire while working during this period.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous. Responses received by May 22 will be most useful.

The three differentiated surveys for faculty, staff, and graduate students share some identical information, but also have been tailored for each population. Demographic information that is not tied to the respondents’ identity will allow us to disaggregate results by gender, age, parental status, and business unit.
Please let us know if you would like to learn more about the results when the study is completed. Because promoting gender equity is everyone’s responsibility, The Women’s Place partners with units across campus to identify and remove barriers to recruiting, retaining, and promoting women and underrepresented individuals in higher education. Our office hosts programming that is available to people of all genders. As Ohio State aims to create a university culture in which all individuals can thrive, please join us by circulating this survey and sharing your feedback.
