FW: Clarification from Stage 3 Town Hall

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to follow up on some potential confusion regarding public transit in Stage 3. Specifically, there was a question in the chat about whether the university would be issuing parking permits to people in Stage 3 so that they could avoid the bus.

Brian and Michael both indicated that this had been brought up within the department and forwarded to the college, but we have not yet heard anything about such a program. I then reiterated our message that people are not required to participate in Stage 3, and that if they feel that they can’t get to campus safely (there may be many pieces to this puzzle) then this is definitely the sort of thing they should discuss with their supervisor (or S&I, grad studies, etc.).

To be clear, there is no rule or policy that you can’t come in or shouldn’t come in if you have to take the bus. I hope this removes any ambiguity, and apologize if anyone got the wrong impression.

Best wishes,
Zeke
