Reminder: C&D Town Hall April 17th, 3:30 pm, Smith Seminar Room

Dear colleagues,

As the subject line indicates I am sending this note as a reminder/announcement that the Climate and Diversity Committee is in the process of planning for a department-wide Town Hall meeting to follow up on the recent successful Town Hall on 2/20. We have fixed the date and time as Wednesday, April 17th, at 3:30 pm in the Smith Seminar Room (I would like to thank both ENCOMM and the Nuclear Physics Seminar for helping us to find a time and space).

In addition to putting this on your calendar, I would also ask that you take a moment to fill out the anonymous survey that I circulated a few weeks ago soliciting topics for discussion (I am reproducing the link here):

We have some good suggestions already, but if there is a topic that you think needs broader department discussion now is the time to throw your hat in the ring. Once we have a final list of topics I will circulate it to the community and C&D will work to invite additional speakers as necessary to make sure we have the expertise in the room to answer questions in real time.
