Front Office Staff Changes

   Dear all,

      Earlier this week Jean Ball updated you on the searches for the Grants Manager and the replacement for Rachel.  We are hoping to conclude these searches soon and get the hires integrated into the administrative team.  Unfortunately, I need to inform you of another departure, which will further stress the workload of the Front Office staff.   Jillian Fair has taken a new position with the College of Dentistry and her last day in the department will be January 28th.  This is an excellent  opportunity for Jillian to advance her career.  She has been a valuable member of the department and I wish to thank Jillian for her excellent service to the department.  She has gone far and above the typical role of HR Specialist. She has been serving as a Staff Representative on the Climate and Diversity Committee and has been an outstanding problem solver for “all things HR”.

     I have two meetings scheduled with ASC Leadership to discuss the recent turnover of staff in the department.  Tomorrow, I will be meeting with Peggy Link to make sure we get sufficient assistance keeping the business of the department moving while we conduct a search for Jillian’s replacement.  Later in the day tomorrow, I will be meeting Kim Kinsel, the ASC Chief Administration Officer, to express concerns that I have regarding staff support and retention in the department.
