[ALERT] Jan 3rd Next Triannual Maintenance Shutdown - Extended PCW Outage - Notice 3 of 3

Triannual planned maintenance on the PRB's lab-side and office-side air handler units and exhaust fans will be conducted by FOD on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019

Occupants are reminded that air flows and other air-related building processes will be impacted throughout the day as maintenance is done.

Users of Process Cooling Water (PCW) systems should take note that there will be an extended outage of PCW service during this maintenance event.

PCW is commonly used for cooling of lasers, Liebert units, cold rooms, and other water-cooled systems.

The PCW service interruption is required to drain down the system and repair a piping leak in a fourth floor laser lab.

Maintenance and/or repairs may also be done on other building systems not listed that are considered non-impacting to occupants.

Maintenance is scheduled to start at 7:00 AM and is planned to be completed by no later than 3:00 PM.

The timing of the New Year's Day / University closure slips this event to Thursday from normal practice of conducting maintenance on Wednesdays.

Please take planned action to prepare for this event.
