   Dear Physics Community,

      I want to remind everyone of next week’s Town Hall meeting to discuss recent emails sent to some members of the department regarding past investigations.  The meeting will take place in the Smith Seminar Room at 3:30pm and we will be joined by Kellie Brennan, Compliance Director and Title IX Coordinator, and  Kristi Hoge, HR Manager for Employee Relations.  Prof. Johnston-Halperin, as Chair of Climate and Diversity, and I will also be present to answer questions.  I plan to start by reviewing what steps were taken by the department in the last several years, both generally and in response to the investigations.  Our guests can provide insights from the parts of the university that govern the investigations.

     I realize that not everyone will necessarily be able to make it to the Town Hall meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting, but have questions you would like to ask, please communicate with me, Prof. Johnston-Halperin, or any member of the Climate and Diversity Committee (see below).  I want everyone to have the opportunity to ask questions and those questions to be answered to the best of our ability.
