[NEWS] Annual Load Bank Testing for Emergency Generator at PRB this Friday April 19th

FOD will be conducting code-required annual full load testing of the emergency generator this Friday morning (April 19th) beginning around 7:00 am.

This test has been performed multiple times over past years and does not impact the building power supply.

Occupants who enter the building from the south side / loading dock area may notice the following items:

- Presence of large trucks and/or trailers upon which the load simulation bank equipment is carried.

- Presence of heavy power cables running into the building.

- Loud engine noise from the operation of the 600 kW emergency back-up generator in room 1170M at the far southwest corner of the building.

- Locked door at entrance along west wall of loading dock (this door locks automatically whenever the generator is in operation).

- Existing dumpsters relocated.

Occupants passing by the test area should abide by any barricades or safety signs that may be present.

This message serves to provide general information and no specific additional action is required by occupants for this event.
