Why to give

You may ask yourself, why give to Campus Campaign…but each fund represents real people and the things for which they care.  Here is a story from this morning’s ImpactCancer newsletter about our colleague Terry Bradley talking about why she gives to Pelotonia funds:

Riding to End Cancer: Terry Bradley
“I don’t need more reasons to ride in Pelotonia; I don’t need to lose any more friends and family,” said Terry Bradley, as she discusses why she registered for her 10th Pelotonia ride.

If I haven’t asked you in person, please consider an on-going donation of a $1 per pay, or a one-time donation.  I asked myself this same question about giving and it occurred to me that even if my gift is small, it’s contributing to a greater whole that will make a difference, and importantly provides hope, to a cancer survivor, a victim of violence, a student in need of food, a staff member in need of emergency funds, a department that wants to keep their knowledge base circulating, a research study that is on the precipice of immunotherapy or cancer research break-thru, there’s 9,000 reasons to give to an Ohio State cause.
