Important: "TaG18" Computer Audit in Physics

To all in the Physics Department:

The University is performing an audit of all computer devices at Ohio State, to be completed before October 2018. This project is referred to as TaG18, “Three and Green in 2018”. The purpose is to improve OSU’s computer security posture, and to document any exceptions/deviations from our standard configuration. TaG18 spans the entire University, and is backed by the Provost and Board of Trustees. This is not optional, but we will do what we can to minimize impact on our regular departmental, academic and research operations.

We will use multiple approaches, including making appointments with Faculty and Staff, as well as going room-to-room, looking for any computer equipment. For those of you who have a laptop or other OSU-owned equipment at home, we will require that it be brought to campus for an appointment. Regardless, please feel free to make an appointment with us, proactively!
