Bruce Weinberg is a coauthor of a number of recent studies in the journal Science (April 2014 and December 2015) and the American Economic Review 2016, studying who is employed on research projects, studying the career outcomes of research doctorates, and estimating the value of research. He will introduce the UMETRICS project, which uses linked big data to trace people as they flow through the US and connect people to the business for which they work. He will also discuss estimates of gender differences in early career outcomes of PhD recipients.
