Hi all,
I will be leading a "Physics of Video Games" camp for high school students at Columbus Academy this summer July 17-21. Students will work on programming projects where they will code up video games like asteroids and angry birds (two games with good physics content!).
Please feel free to share this with friends or families with high school students that you know. This will be an OSU affiliated camp in much the same way that COSI runs camps at Columbus Academy each summer. Thanks to a grant, there will be scholarships available for the camp and 6-7 students will be able to attend for free or at a reduced rate. The non-subsidized price is $310 for the week. Students requesting scholarships should reach out directly to me.
Please note that there will be opportunities for physics teachers to observe the camp and complete the exercises for one FREE continuing education credit. This is to encourage teachers to use the exercises in their classrooms.
thanks,
Chris Orban
