[ALERT] Power Event Experienced in Fourth Floor Lab

[Physics facility information]

Occupants of fourth-floor south-end lab space experienced an instantaneous ( < 1 sec ) power "event" this morning at approximately 8:50 to 9:00 am.

The event was sufficient to cause shut down of lab networks and machinery with lab specific control interlocks.

No further details are known at this time and no trips of building systems have been reported or observed.

Occupants who have had similar experiences or who have heard from other departments or groups are asked to reply to this message with details as available.

Past experience of such occurrences are infrequent and are usually found to be a result of larger regional grid events.

Inquiries to the OSU Utility Group will be made at an appropriate time.
