Hello,
I am happy to announce the soft launch of the 'BuckeyeVR Electric Field' VR app for Android (https://go.osu.edu/BuckeyeVR) and iOS (https://go.osu.edu/BVRiOS) developed by Prof. Chris Orban, Dr. Chris Porter, undergraduate Savva Madar, and myself (grad student).
This app shows electric field vectors in 3D using a smartphone and a Google Cardboard viewer (available to borrow), or a just a smartphone, where moving your phone changes the perspective like with a 360 video. A web-based version of the app is available at https://buckeyevr.osu.edu/electricfield/
The main purpose of this email is to increase the sample size of testers for the iOS version (it did not work on one out of about 10, iPhones tested) before making a wider announcement. If it does not work on your phone, please let me know the phone type and OS version. Also feel free to provide feedback and suggestions.
If you would like to receive updates on our upcoming work, please send me an email (smith.10838 at osu.edu) so we don't have to email the whole list again.
Thank you,
-Joseph
