Colleagues,

If you make a Campus Campaign pledge, no matter how small, please consider these development funds. GRASP supports
our annual camps aimed at middle school girls and improving the pipeline. Due to department budget cuts, this program
relies on fees and donations almost entirely. And lots of enthusiastic volunteers. The Caren endowment fund supports our
undergraduate summer research scholarship. We try to fund all good projects but the endowed funds are not enough to
even sustain our current numbers. And research experience is invaluable to our undergraduates majors. Finally,
the Senior Alumni Fund provides a cash award to an outstanding senior year physics major. While this is a small fund,
years in which we have two or more truly outstanding students (a "problem" we increasingly face) benefit greatly from the
small donations to this fund. For reference:
