Thank you reception for Jim Beatty

To all,

You are invited to  a thank you reception for Jim on Thursday afternoon this week.  Friday was our first choice, but it appears that many have plans to start celebrating the fourth a bit early.  Please honor Jim's time as chair by wearing a Hawaiian shirt or something equally colorful on Thursday and mark your calendars to join your colleagues in the Vernier Commons and maybe on the patio if it isn't too hot at 3 pm on Thursday.  I have ordered a commemorative memento for him, but would appreciate any input you might have as well.
