All,

The swipe card reader at the northeast entrance to Smith Lab used for after-hours access will be purged of all user data on June 30, 2016.

This action is needed to allow Lock and Key Services to complete general repairs and software upgrades that will allow report generation at sub-levels according to the many departments who now have occupancy in Smith Lab.

My understanding is that most of you are entering Smith Lab after hours by use of brass keys and that the swipe card reader is only used by students in specific courses (holography, labs, etc.) who are programmed for their term and then removed.

If you are in need of swipe card access, please let me know by reply to this e-mail and I will come by and collect your BuckID information.

Please also advise if you know of any students who may need this access continued such as members of SPS or student employees.

Please do not e-mail your BuckID information as this is considered restricted data under University policy.

Regards,

Phil Davids
