Hi all,
Science, illustrated with art: Song of the Stars (http://www.songofthestars.org). See below.
This project is being led by Paul Sutter, who works half-time at OSU and half-time as the first Chief Scientist at COSI. This is the biggest among several outreach projects he has led or is leading now.
His new role strengthens the OSU-COSI connections. COSI is eager to bring scientists and research to the public, and we can help them. Many scientists who are interested in outreach are eager to find infrastructure and audiences to make that easier, and COSI can help us. To learn more about how to get involved, please contact Paul M. Sutter <pmsutter at gmail.com<mailto:pmsutter at gmail.com>>.
Best regards,
John

Hey CCAPPers and friends of CCAPP,
On Thursday April 21st, "Song of the Stars" will premiere at the
Capitol Theatre at 7:30pm.
What started a random idea last year has blossomed into a massive
production involving over two dozen people, from dancers and
choreographers to lighting designers and camera operators.
This project is, essentially, an experiment - to see if we can connect
with audiences in new ways to communicate science. I'll be narrating
the life stories of the stars, and episodes will be brought to life
through contemporary dance. It's not meant to communicate gobs of
information, but to inspire the audience to learn more.
Please join me next Thursday night. Tickets are as cheap as we could
make them, and can be purchased via Ticketmaster:

You can find more info about the project at www.SongoftheStars.org.
Thanks!
-Paul-
