[NEWS] Fire Alarm Testing in Smith Lab Tomorrow - Extended Alarm Sounding while Fire Marshall Verifies

As part of the University's ongoing fire alarm system upgrade in Smith Lab, the State Fire Marshall must conduct verification testing.

Beginning at approximately 9:00 tomorrow (Wednesday 19-AUG-2015), alarms will sound and strobes will flash.

Sounding of alarms and flashing of strobes will persist until the State Fire Marshall team has visually verified each strobe in each room has activated.

Due to the volume of strobes located throughout the building and based on previous and similar tests, this phase may last up to ~45 minutes.

Actions to limit the duration of this activity will be employed to the highest extent practical.
