[ALERT] Liquid Nitrogen Tank and Vaporizer serving PRB to be Replaced - Service Interruption to LN2 and GN2 supply - Notice 1 of 3

[Physics facility information]

The existing liquid nitrogen (LN2) tank and vaporizer system serving the PRB will be replaced and substantially upsized during the period of December 16th to 19th.

During the transition, a one hour service interruption to the gaseous nitrogen (GN2) building supply will occur on the 16th and again on either the 18th or 19th as a temporary gas supply is connected and later removed.

Also during the transition, an extended service interruption will occur on the liquid nitrogen supply from the 16th through the 19th.

To bridge the liquid nitrogen service gap, users should plan to fill portable dewars shortly before the outage.

Users who are unable to bridge the liquid nitrogen service gap with portable dewars should contact the facility team to make special arrangements.
