[CRITICAL] Temporary Loss of Heating Hot Water in PRB this Morning

On Saturday evening, a 3/4" heating hot water pipe failed in a lab on the 3rd floor resulting in minor flooding that has since been contained by the weekend FOD maintenance crews.

In order to make a permanent repair, the heating hot water system has been shut down and the piping network is being drained to the level of the third floor.

Occupants will experience a drop in temperature throughout the building beginning now and continuing until the repair is completed later this morning or early afternoon.

The Department expresses thanks to the FOD crews who have quickly responded to this condition and to the occupants for their forbearance of the less than ideal temperature conditions that will exist.

The repair is technically simple to make and is expected to be completed today without further complications.

A follow up message will be sent when the repair is complete and the heating hot water system is back in function.
