Dear CCAPP members and friends,

The 2014 Campus Campaign is on until 30 April. When you are considering university and department funds to invest in, I encourage you to help CCAPP expand its student- and public-oriented activities.

Thanks in part to generous contributions from donors like yourself, we have been able to increase such activities, and we are eager to do more like the following:

+ Graduate education: provide funds to help make it possible for graduate students to attend conferences where they present their work. For example, grad student Rebecca Reesman won the poster competition at the TAUP 2013 meeting.

+ Public lectures: bring internationally-known experts like our recent visitor Lloyd Knox to Ohio State and COSI to give lectures and interact with students.

+ Outreach: put on events for young people like the Breakfast of Science Champions for middle-schoolers as well as frequent presentations at COSI, schools, and more.

Donating is easy and tax-deductible. The Campus Campaign web page is http://www.osu.edu/giving/philanthropy-programs/campuscampaign/, and CCAPP is listed there. Alternatively, just follow the link on the CCAPP web page, which takes you to https://www.giveto.osu.edu/igive/OnlineGiving/fund_results.aspx?Source_Code=WA&Fund=313519.

We are grateful for the generosity of those who have already donated. Even modest donations help financially and send a message to the university about appreciation of CCAPP activities.

Thank you for your consideration. We welcome hearing ideas for new initiatives.

Best regards,
John Beacom
