Physics Party a great success

A big Thank YOU goes out to all who volunteered their time and talents to make this year's Physics Winter Party one of the best on record.  If you didn't come, you missed a great party. Countless students came up to thank the staff and organizers for a wonderful time.  They loved the theme, the decorations and all of the special touches.  The balloon lady was a hit with the kids (of all ages), the videos in the SSR were also a hit, not to mention the wonderful live music and great food and drink.  The leader of the band told me that this event is the one they like to do the most every year.

Thanks to Robin Patterson for spearheading the organization of the party and designing the decorations and to Kris Dunlap and Aaron Goodman for planning the catered food.  Thanks also to Bryan Dunlap, Brian Keller, Lindsey Thaler, Mallory Aliff, Michelle McCombs and dozens of undergrad and graduate students who helped with everything from set up to take down.  Thanks also to John Wilkins for donating the red wine and to Robert Perry for standing in for the chair.  Thanks to Ann Elliot, Aaron Goodman and Terry Bradley for taking photos.

I am probably forgetting someone important, so if that is you - please forgive me.  Pictures from the party will be up on line in the next few days for your viewing.

Many hands are needed to make this event a reality.  Consider being a part of the planning committee for next year's party.
