Events at OSU/vicinity & reduced rate for fitness membership available till June 30

Below and attached is a list of events coming up in the area that I was asked to pass on today.  Note that the location for the CWP special fitness membership highlighted in the email is: Ohio State's Martha Morehouse, Medical Plaza, 2050 Kenny Road, Center for Wellness and Prevention, Suite 1010, Columbus, OH 43221, Phone: 293-2800.

Regarding the BFit Fitness Assessment, although the flyer says it is for students only, faculty and staff are now invited to participate.

Hello Innovators,

There are many exciting events coming up around Ohio State and Columbus!  Lots of attachments this week.  Make sure to give them a look, a lot of great opportunities and information.

Med Center Yoga on the Plaza, June 25th 4-5 pm.  Enjoy the sunshine with an hour-long Ashtanga class.  Bring a yoga mat to the Medical Center Plaza.  Please register through YP4H.

Vinyasa Yoga, June 27th Noon - 1 pm.  Take a relaxing yoga break on your lunch hour! The class is being held at 700 Ackerman Road, Room 410.  Be sure to bring a yoga mat!

Healthy Buckeye Video Contest.  Show your Buckeye pride and share your mission to a healthier you!  YP4h is sponsoring this event and we need your help to make it a success.  Video your story and send it in.  See attachment for more details.

CWP Special Fitness Membership!
Ohio State's Center for Wellness and Prevention is offering a special one-year membership of $25 per month to faculty and staff!  This Reduced rate ends June 30.  The CWP membership includes: aerobic and strength training equipment, one-on-one orientation to aerobic and strength equipment, instructor-led fitness classes including Body Sculpting, Yoga, Stretching, Body Recall and more! BFIT Free Fitness Assessment,  June 10 - July 25.
Exercise Science students need participants for their B-Fit program.  To be eligible you must be  Faculty or Staff less than 55 years of age for females, and less than 45 years of age for males.  They will assess your body composition, muscular endurance, muscular strength and aerobic capacity!  See the attached flyer for more details.  Even though the flyer states it is for students, participation has been opened to all Faculty and Staff for the summer!

Mayor's Twilight Ride!  The ride is July 12 at 6:30 pm.  The website is www.bikecolumbusfestival.com<http://www.bikecolumbusfestival.com>.  Attached is the ride poster for you to share with your colleagues.  Individuals are more than welcome to ride, or you can create a team.  Prizes are awarded to the largest teams.  The ride is not a timed event so it's a great event for seasoned riders as well as those who are new to the sport.

Million Hearts.  Each year, heart disease kills roughly the same number of people in the United States as cancer, lower respiratory infections, and accidents combined.  Together, we can make a difference.  See the attached Million Hearts flyer and share with your colleagues.  Remember your ABCSS!
