[ALERT] AHU-2 at 50% Capacity - Air imbalance in PRB

[Physics facility information]

At approximately 4:20 pm, one of two fans in Air Handler 2 which serves the lab side north end dropped offline or began to have slipping belts.

All six main exhaust fans continue to run which creates a building air pressure imbalance.  Fume hoods remain fully functional.

With reduced supply air and full exhaust, occupants will notice some lab air imbalances until the situation is resolved.

Occupants may also notice odors near drain traps that frequently become dry during such air imbalances.

FOD is aware of the condition and is dispatching maintenance staff to address the problem.
