It is nearly the time of year when Physics is visited by our prospective students and below is our tentative schedule for our event and we are expecting around 50 students to accept to visit us on these dates.

Thursday, March 7

Physics Research Building (PRB) Smith Seminar Room (Room 1080)
3:30 pm - Welcome - Jim Beatty, Chair of Physics

3:35 pm - Grad Program overview - Jon Pelz, Vice Chair, Grad Studies

3:45 pm - Overview of Research Areas - Jon Pelz

4:15 pm - Presentation by the Physics Graduate Student Council

Blackwell Hotel, Ballroom ?
6:00pm - 8:00 pm - Buffet dinner in the hotel atrium

Optional Social Event
8:30 pm - departure for 9 pm Physics Graduate Student Council and other current physics graduate students will host an optional social event - bowling.  This is an opportunity to meet and talk with some of our students and have fun too.

Friday, March 8

Faculty Club -Grand Lounge on 1st floor
8:30 am - 9:30 am - Breakfast at the OSU Faculty Club

PRB Atrium
10:00 am - Noon - Research area poster/information session

1:00 - 2:00 - Lunch at the North Market in the Short North district
                      buses leave North Market at 2:00 pm to return to the PRB
North Market
2:00 pm-Board bus to go to OSU-PRB

2:30 pm - 5:00 pm - Meetings with faculty from areas of interest

PRB Atrium
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm - Nacho bar with current graduate students

Optional Social Event
6:30 pm - 12:00 am  -Those interested should plan to meet in PRB Atrium and will walk over to the location just off campus.  Physics Graduate Students will host an optional social event for an informal gathering.
