[ALERT] Status Update - Area Well Project - Louver Installations

Work crews have completed the rough installation of the four louvers covering the large new air inlet openings in the area well.

Temporary plywood covering the interior/plenum side of the openings will be reinstalled beginning this morning.

The temporary plywood coverings serve to isolate the louvers so that gap-filling sealants can be applied around the perimeter of the louver frames.

As was done earlier this week, Air Handler 2 air flow will be reduced by 50% to allow the work crews greater ease and safety in handling the plywood sheets inside the air plenum.  Also as was done earlier this week, one of the six main exhaust fans will be taken out of service to limit pressure imbalances in the building.

A status update will be given when the work to reinstall the plywood is completed.
