Bucks for Charity Drive is underway

To all Physics faculty and staff,

The annual Bucks for Charity Drive is underway.  Bucks for Charity is a campaign to support local community-based organizations, including United Way and many others. We have chosen to focus on the first two weeks of December for our drive in the Dept. of Physics.  In the next day or two you will receive your pledge form from one of our department volunteers.  Please take a moment to think about how you can make a difference in our community with a one-time donation or a pledge throughout the year through payroll deduction.

Our department committee has planned two events to help us turn good intentions into reality.  The first is an Ice Cream Social next Wednesday December 5 at 2:00 pm in 4138 PRB.  Take some time between now and then to think about making a donation.  Bring your pledge form to 4138 and enjoy an ice cream sundae with your colleagues. (Although we would be happy to have everyone participate in the drive, a donation is not required to participate in the ice cream social). The following Wednesday, a Pizza and Bake sale will take place at noon in the Atrium.  Purchase some baked goods and/or pizza and vote for your favorite charity.  Proceeds from the sale will be divided according to your votes and donated as part of this special event to the Bucks for Charity Drive.

Some folks had indicated a desire to donate to the MidOhio Food Bank which is not listed in the resource guide.  If you have an interest in this charity, please indicate this on your pledge form with the following information:
