[NEWS] North Passenger Elevator - Intermittent Problem with Door Closure

[Physics facility information]

The north passenger elevator is currently exhibiting intermittent door closing problems.

The cab will go to a floor and time out with doors open and then buzz until the override timer times out.

Elevator technicians have been on site once this morning already, but due to the intermittent nature of the problem were unable to make a repair.

Additional service calls have now been made.

Occupants should note that the campus-wide elevator service contract was changed to a new vendor effective today.

Response times and repair efficacy may be different than what was experienced under the previous service contractor during the transition period.
