Nominations sought for John G. Whitcomb Distinguished Staff Awards

To all,

Nominations for the 2013 John G. Whitcomb Distinguished Staff Awards are being sought.  We have improved the submission process this year with a webform format.  Please go to the following link https://physics.osu.edu/2012-13-department-physics-distinguished-staff-awards  for information about the award and to consider who you might choose to nominate this year.  All information for the nomination packet should be assembled before the submission is started as the nomination form cannot be edited once submitted.  Nominations must be submitted no later than January 7, 2013 for consideration so that the committee has time to make their selection and also nominate one of the candidates for the University Distinguished Staff Award.


We are fortunate to have assembled a very talented group of staff members.  This award is given annually to recognize exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the Department of Physics and its missions of research, teaching, and service.  Consider your day to day operations and those throughout the department who assist you in achieving your goals and make a nomination.  Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff or students. Winners will be selected by a committee comprised of the chair and his direct reports and others appointment by the chair.  Decisions will be based on the information provided fulfilling the criteria items listed in the nomination and support letters.
