Dear physics department community,

****Note: if you are away or offline during spring break, this email is not urgent and can wait till after spring break is over.****

The Climate & Diversity Committee<https://physics.osu.edu/academic-advising/climate-and-diversity-committee/climate-and-diversity-committee> is wrapping up the series of town hall meetings this month to gather community feedback for developing goals for the department’s DEI Strategic Plan<https://physics.osu.edu/academic-advising/climate-and-diversity-committee/climate-and-diversity-committee/dei-strategic>. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far, and who will be participating in our remaining town halls!

As part of this process, we learned that we need to provide other pathways for department community members to communicate their thoughts with the committee. Starting today and running until March 25, you can provide feedback to the committee via this survey<https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6FNcwJ6DJ7XAY3Y>. We recommend accessing the survey via a computer rather than phone if possible. One of the options in the survey is to request to speak with an individual member of the committee instead of (or in addition to) the survey.

We will be going through responses and presenting a summary of findings, and a first draft of DEI Strategic Plan goals, to the department in mid-April. This will give you an opportunity to provide feedback to us on the findings. Expect to hear from us on the specifics of how we will communicate our findings sometime after spring break.

Thank you for your engagement in this process!
Annika Peter, on behalf of the Climate & Diversity Committee
