Hi Everyone,



I am delighted to let everyone know that Dr. Pierre Heidmann just accepted our offer of a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in our department! He will be joining our department Aug. 15 of this year. Please be sure to welcome him when he arrives if not before.



A huge thank you goes to: (i) Samir Mathur, who chaired the search committee, (ii) the search committee: Eric Braaten, Chris Hill, Chris Hirata, and Mohit Randeria, (iii) Ruth Leonard, who organized all of the visits, talks, and other logistics.



Running a successful faculty search is a tremendous amount of work. I am grateful to everyone that helped make this a successful search.
