Colloquium Today-- Climate Change--Soil -- And what you can do!

Dear all,
The colloquium today Tuesday September 13 at 3:45 pm in 1080 PRB is DIFFERENT from most of our colloquia -- It is about SOIL -- something we don't often discuss in the hallways of PRB. Even if we stop putting any more Carbon into the atmosphere, we cannot bring the temperatures down if we do not sequester Carbon -- and SOIL is the most important player in this equation.

The colloquium will be given by our own Professor Rattan Lal who is the winner of the prestigious World Food Prize in 2020.

 The colloquium on Tuesday will be given by Professor Rattan Lal on
Soil as Source and Sink of Greenhouse Gases.

This is a rare occasion for us in physics to hear about soil; given climate change it is essential that we are better informed of the challenges and solutions. We hope you will all attend the colloquium.
