Dear all,

The colloquium on Tuesday will be on some very unusual findings in the quantum Hall effect where the electron fractionalizes into charge e/3 or e/4 excitations. Further when you exchange these objects they can have abelian or non-abelian braiding statistics. It does not get more exotic than this!
