[swip et al] Public lecture, Nov. 9th: "Let Physics Be the Dream It Used to Be"

This coming Monday, November 9th, there will be a lecture given by Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein entitled "Let Physics Be the Dream It Used To Be", which will take place in the Smith Seminar Room (Physics Research Building 1080) from 4-5 pm. Several university units are part of organizing and promoting this public event (including the Society for Women in Physics), so we hope to see you there!


Prescod-Weinstein is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her current research focuses on early universe cosmology and technical questions relating to how to do quantum field theory calculations in curved spacetimes. She is a passionate advocate for racial and gender diversity in STEM and will be sharing her stories about her efforts in this area.
