[ALERT] Fire Drill and Evacuation in PRB - Morning of Tuesday July 22nd - Notice 2 of 2

[Physics facility information]

OSU Public Safety will be conducting a fire drill in the Physics Research Building on Tuesday July 22nd at ~7:30 am.

Occupants are expected to fully respond to this drill and promptly evacuate the building.

Building System responses to the fire alarm being triggered may include any/all of the following:
- Smoke Exhaust Fans in the atrium may start
- Fire doors in hallways will release from the hold open position and swing closed.
- Emergency lighting may come on.
- Elevators will enter fire mode
- Air Handlers may shut down

It is expected that the drill will be completed and system operation restored before 8:30 am.

The Department expresses thanks to OSU Public Safety for the advance notification given for this drill.

An annual live fire drill is required for each building to be in compliance with OSU Public Safety protocol.
