OriginPro License demand survey

An individual academic license for OriginPro is about $850.

Licenses are for students, staff, and faculty of the Physics Department only, but can be installed on both OSU-owned and personal computers.

We are considering a purchase of a yearly subscription of 100 licenses for $6,000 to be renewed on a yearly basis. Under this license, the software can be installed on as many computers as needed (internet connection is required) with only 100 instances of it running simultaneously which will be controlled by a license server.

The final price of such a license per user will depend entirely on the number of users participating in the program. If 100 users participate, the individual price will be $60/year. We are also actively seeking departmental and organizational sponsors to further reduce the costs of the software to an individual user.

The survey will be open until Tuesday, July 29th.
