[ALERT] Next Quarterly Maintenance Shutdown - July 9th - Notice 3 of 3

[Physics facility information]

An abbreviated Quarterly PM (planned maintenance) cycle will be conducted by FOD on Wednesday, July 9th 2014.

This is a scheduling change point from the planned full maintenance cycle for this date made necessary by upcoming work for the Energy Conservations Measures (ECM) project.

Activities for this abbreviated campaign will be limited to the following:

   1.) AHU-1: Brief shutdown to check belt tensions

   2.) AHU-2: Shutdown to check belt tensions and to complete warranty repair on epoxy coating applied under the recently completed AIR-3R project.

   3.) Process Cooling Water: Additional Load testing for East Regional Chiller Plant commissioning.

   4.) Process Cooling Water:  Brief shutdown of pumps to clean and flush strainers

   5.) Emergency Generator Load Testing - (no Automatic Transfer Switch testing)

Maintenance is scheduled to start at 7:00 a.m. and is planned to be completed by no later than 9:30 a.m. for the Air Handlers and 12:00 noon for the PCW load testing.

All other routine PM activities not listed above will be deferred to a multi-day outage needed for the ECM project tentatively planned for the weekend of August 9th.

Please take planned action to prepare for this abbreviated event.

Q3.2-2014 = August 9-10 - tentative date includes remaining PM scope plus ECM work
Q4-2014 = October 8th Wednesday - Planned
