[OACRAO] Reporting certificates

Colleagues,

I have a few questions regarding NSC reporting for certificates. We do not use NSC for enrollment verification and therefore, I question whether certain types of certificates need to be reported to NSC.

  1.
Does your institution report embedded certificates within the degree program that are not eligible for financial aid to NSC?
  2.
We will also soon offer certificate programs for employees of local companies that will be paid for by the company. These will be non-degree seeking students. These certificates are also not eligible for financial aid. Do you report these types of certificates to NSC?

It seems that only standalone certificates that are eligible for financial aid need to be reported, but I would like to hear how other institutions are interpreting this for their institutions.
