[OACRAO] Transcript Validation

We accept high school transcripts as official if they 1) are mailed directly to us from the high school, 2) are hand-delivered to us in an unopened envelope, 3) come to us via an ordering service such as Parchment, or 4) are emailed directly to us from the high school.

Happy Monday morning all, We are currently undergoing an FSA audit and they are questioning how we validate official high school transcripts. We have never really had a specific policy or procedure on this as we're a pretty small school

We are currently undergoing an FSA audit and they are questioning how we validate official high school transcripts. We have never really had a specific policy or procedure on this as we're a pretty small school so just took the official transcript as being such (most applicants are from local high schools anyways). Either way, with that being said, would anyone be willing to shed some light on this process for me? Is there a certain way to validate these transcripts?
