Hi Ryan,

I am happy to share how we process these.

The acceptance of ACE credits is in our catalog, so we will take them on the ACE/Credly transcript only.  Sophia, Straighterline, Study.com, etc, all have the capability and make it an option when students order transcripts to have it sent via an ACE transcript instead of their own; this assures we are only accepting ACE 'as advertised" and not taking transcripts from Sophia et al, which are not accredited and we do not have partnerships with.  Most of the courses only come over as electives, but a few do equal regular BGSU courses.  The ACE site is easy to use, lists dates the courses are active and valid for undergraduate credit, and the Credly transcript is very specific on whether undergraduate credit should be awarded or just badges have been earned.  I am happy to correspond more with you on this if needed.

I'm wondering to what extent everyone accepts coursework evaluated by ACE? We use ACE when reviewing JSTs (Joint Services Transcripts), but not through anything else. We are now getting questions about accepting ACE-evaluated coursework that is submitted through Credly.com, Sophia.org, etc.
