[OACRAO] 4+1 and Transcripting Courses

Heather,

I would imagine that would be hard to get coded into your transcripts to calculate correctly for both without them needing to be duplicated in some manner in their record (which could lead to interesting workarounds on the billing/FA side). I know I've seen where students have started taking graduate classes before fully finishing their degree before, but I don't recall anything about one course applying toward 2 different degree levels.

Muskingum is rolling out a 4+1 program in the fall. Students will be allowed to take 3 graduate level courses during their undergraduate studies. As our system stands now, these graduate courses would show up on their undergraduate transcript

Muskingum is rolling out a 4+1 program in the fall.  Students will be allowed to take 3 graduate level courses during their undergraduate studies.  As our system stands now, these graduate courses would show up on their undergraduate transcript and count towards their overall credits required for a bachelor’s degree.   If we continue this way, their graduate transcript will only have 24 credits listed.  I was thrown off when I read that the 3 graduate courses were approved to count towards both undergraduate and graduate hours.  Will there be, or have any of you, experienced issues with this?



Also, any information is helpful as this is our first 4+1 program and there will be a lot to follow.
