[OACRAO] Transfer Credit

Hi Bradley,

We bring in everything.  Here is a prime reason why we do that.  KSU has a course called Seven Ideas that Shook the Universe, Physics course.  That is one of their science core/OT36 course but we do not have an exact match.  But we bring it in as PHYC 800 (Physics Elective).  Because the incoming course was part of KSU's OT36, we would treat PHYC 800, for that equivalency specific, satisfy OT36 science requirement at our institution, even though we do not have PHYC 800 as part of our own OT36 science course.  I hope that makes sense.  Let me know if you have any further question regarding this.

Our school is reviewing some aspects of our transfer credit process. I'm curious - probably more so from a 2-year college standpoint - if you transfer in ALL previous credit or only credit that is an equivalency to your catalog of courses.

We have always transferred everything in and this sometimes creates a laundry list of MISC-1999 credit that is really irrelevant for students.
