[OACRAO] S/P grades

Hello wise ones.

I have a question about awarding credit for transfer courses grade as Satisfactory or Passing. During two semesters (Spring and Summer of 2020) of COVID, we accepted these courses for credit even if the host institution stated the S or P grade was awarded for a D or higher. Our policy has other than these two semesters has been to only accept such graded courses if the transcript key indicated they met a C or higher. We returned to this policy for Fall of 2020.

My question is : have any of you considered extending this "grace" period to incoming transfer students beyond any initial, intense COVID period. And if so, why and what has been your experience.

Personally, I think I'd be opening a can of worms to reopen and extend this grace option. But I'm being asked to put the question to my listserves. :)
