[OACRAO] Residency questions

Good morning,

For those I haven't had the chance to meet yet, I'm the new Registrar at Wright State.  I'm returning to Ohio after 20 years working in Missouri.  Happy to be home!

At my prior institution, our registrar's office didn't handle residency, so this is new to me.  I apologize if this is a repeat discussion for this listserv.  I'm wondering the following:

  *   which office at your institution handles residency?  (registrar, admissions, one stop, other?)
  *   for the new state residency rule:
     *   are we required to automatically qualify students or are students responsible for seeking Residency Status?

     *   How are you defining “immediately” in terms of when they begin a graduate program?

     *   Are you utilizing two residency fields? Meaning, do you have both a residency field that indicates true residency status and another field that is residency for billing and tuition purposes?
