[OACRAO] Majors used for faculty/staff academic history

Do you include degrees/majors/etc that are used for faculty and staff
academic history in your SIS table of majors?  We've been asked to do so by
our research institute.  They want to be able to store employee academic
history so they to facilitate finding people with appropriate skills for
project, open positions, etc.

It turns out that our HRIS system (in Banner) pulls from the student majors
table.  I find this goofy.  I understand the need but I'd rather not
pollute our student majors table with majors we don't offer.  What do you
do?
