Hi Happiness,

I would ask to see an official copy of the social security card with the
new number. You can then use the Social Security Administration's
verification tool to verify the number. Here is a link to that tool:

https://www.ssa.gov/employer/ssnv.htm

Typically, when people have two SSNs, they would be cross-listed by the
SSA. If you search for both the old and the new number, you should get the
same results.
