The MVAPICH team is pleased to announce the release of MVAPICH-Plus 5.1.0b.
The new MVAPICH-Plus series is an advanced version of the MVAPICH MPI library. It is targeted to support unified MVAPICH2-GDR and
MVAPICH2-X features. It is also targeted to provide optimized support for modern platforms (CPU, GPU, and interconnects) for HPC, AI
(training and inference), Big Data and Data Science applications.
The major features and enhancements available in MVAPICH-Plus 5.1.0b
are as follows:
* Features and Enhancements (since 5.0)
- Based on MPICH 5.0.1
- Added locality awareness to UCX netmod
- Added --with-ch4-shmmods=hybrid option for the UCX netmod
- Allows a hybrid netmod that supports MVAPICH enhanced GPU collectives
alongside high performance UCX shm opperations
- Enabled by default
- Added optimized blocking pt2pt path in UCX netmod to improve latency
performance of blocking send/recv
- Added support for CCL Bcast on GPUs
- Added support for reduction collectives on the MPIX_BFLOAT16 datatype
- Enhanced GPU collective tuning for MPI_Bcast and MPI_Allreduce
- Enhanced support for NVL72 systems
* Bug Fixes (since 5.0)
- Resolved synchronization issues with IPC caching mechanism
