Dear Melinda and All,
As an addendum to Sultana's work: the OSU newspaper Lantern publihsed the following article last week about a remarkable scientist from Gaza working in intolerable conditions, Dr. Zher Samak, whom Sutlana has mentored for over a decade.

Subject: [MES Forum] Dr. Sultana Nahar's Recent Impact on STEM in the Middle East
Forum colleagues, I am writing to share news about Dr. Sultana N. Nahar and her continuing leadership in international STEM education and collaboration.
This summer, Dr. Nahar participated in the University of Jordan’s 3rd Honorary Professors Forum in Amman, joining fellow Honorary Professors in conversations on research innovation, AI, entrepreneurship, technology-integrated education, biotechnology, and international partnerships. As an astrophysicist, she also presented on the study and scientific importance of the Sun and explored future STEM collaborations with university leadership.
Her work continues to have meaningful impact well beyond campus. Dr. Nahar recently delivered a keynote address for female high school graduates in Gaza who completed an Advanced English course focused on future careers. She has also supported the launch of a new International Society of Muslim Women in Science chapter at the University of Barishal in Bangladesh. The society, which she founded, now connects more than 500 members in 34 countries.
Please join me in congratulating Sultana on these inspiring achievements and her ongoing commitment to expanding opportunities for students and women in STEM.
