[MES Forum] Teaching Today's Egypt, this Friday at 10am

[McClimans, Melinda]

Forum Members, please share this opportunity with colleagues and graduate students. Note that a pdf flyer is attached.

Discover experiential approaches to teaching about contemporary Egypt with Barb Petzen, an educator with three decades of experience in Middle East studies and public-facing learning this Friday at 10:00am, for Teaching Today's Egypt<https://mesc.osu.edu/events/teaching-todays-egypt>. Explore how your research and teaching can contribute to public scholarship and interdisciplinary dialogue. Together, we’ll consider how to connect insights across fields and translate them into engaging, academically grounded learning about Egypt and the Middle East for undergraduates, school-aged youth and community audiences. Participants will develop concrete teaching ideas connected to learning outcomes, classroom resources, and assessment strategies.

Join us in room 160 of Enarson Classroom Building this Friday, October 9th at 10am, or join the live stream online through our Youtube<https://www.youtube.com/live/sSwvNES7miY?si=XVqRxRazvorkZGBa>, Facebook<https://www.facebook.com/share/19iYwoG3Ty/> or LinkedIn<https://www.linkedin.com/events/7511878366531330048?viewAsMember=true> pages.

Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes,

Melinda
