Dear MES Forum,

The Middle East Studies Center is hosting a virtual Alumni Career Spotlight<https://mesc.osu.edu/events/middle-eastern-studies-alumni-career-spotlight> event next week, on March 19th, from 4:00-5:00 PM This is a great opportunity for your students who are looking to attend graduate school or hear about possible career paths in academia and government/NGOs. Please join us to hear from Rachel Simroth (‘24) and Dr. Ayşe Baltacıoğlu-Brammer (‘16 & ‘12). Ms. Simroth participated in two study abroad trips to the Middle East, internships related to US foreign policy in the Middle East, and currently serves as the 2024-2025 Freedom in the World Junior Fellow for North & East Africa at Freedom House. Dr. Baltacıoğlu-Brammer currently serves as an Assistant Professor of History and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University and is the Steering Committee Chair of the Ottoman and Turkish Studies Initiative.
